I've been creating more fine art photography pieces lately. The story behind this one, for those who like to hear my stories...

On a frosty morning around 10AM on October 21, 2018, I was out looking for wildlife. In this location there was a coyote on a kill the day before, and I hoped to spot him again. As it sometimes happens, I didn't get what I wanted. But when I saw these beauties in the foggy field I had to stop. The feeling of serenity just watching them watch me was overwhelming. I knew I had something I wanted to work with, but I didn't expect it to take two years before my vision came to fruition.

My camera is the first tool I reach for, followed by Photoshop. Since I can't paint what I envision, I create with my Photoshop brushes instead. There is an oil paint technique used to create this image, so look closely to see the brushstrokes. I find it fun to experiment, and when I get it just the way I want it, I know it!
